We Fix Digital X-ray Sensors That Are Out Of Warranty

This past week one of our Dr’s contacted me with an issue.  He has a Kodak RVG6100 sensor that is not capturing images any longer.  The sensor is out of warranty and Kodak won’t even quote him on an out of warranty fix for the sensor, Kodak’s solution is for the Dr to simply purchase a new sensor.

Since I like to help my Dr’s out in absolutely any way that I can, I told the Dr to send me the sensor.  We would then evaluate it, and, if we’re able to repair it, we would shoot him over an estimate for repairs.

Out of Warranty Digital X-ray Sensors

I received the sensor late last week and spent the better part of yesterday morning taking the sensor apart to see what we could do to fix it.  When I installed the sensor on my office computer I was able to get the PC to recognize the sensor and I was able to open the capture sensor prompt in my XrayVision software.

Complete replacement of the cable is necessary.

Voila!  The sensor tested out just fine.  I was able to take multiple radiographs without any issues.  Now I have a happy Dr that I was able to save tons of money for by fixing his sensor rather than him having to purchase a new $7,000+ Kodak sensor for his practice.
