Why is a dental x-ray sensor calibration file necessary?

Dental x-ray sensor calibration file’s are created at the time of manufacture.  Calibration files are correction files which “correct” the image that is processed by the dental x-ray sensor.  When a dental x-ray sensor is manufactured there are tiny imperfections or “dead pixels” in the sensor plate which can translate into artifacts which show up when a digital x-ray is produced.

Calibration files, or “correction files”, basically fill in the blanks that the tiny imperfections, or “dead pixels”, leave in the final image that is produced.

The calibration files for your dental x-ray sensor also allow your dental imaging software to properly communicate with the digital x-ray sensor as most dental imaging software requires the calibration file be installed prior to use.

Now that you’ve found your x-ray sensor calibration file you can send your broken digital x-ray sensors in to us for repair.
